I was happy to find a Mongolia hot pot restaurant after visiting the first time in Montreal. But before I went, I had stumbled across an article on the Citizen about restaurants that had “critical deficiencies”. which cause me some concern. The article was about a series of restaurants in Ottawa that was lacking in standards with the provincial safety rules. Mongolia hot pot was one of the restaurants inspected but was approved with some minor concerns. The place was simple, spacious, and friendly. One thing that really impressed me was their huge quantity of sea food, its availabity and the freshness. My son, who eats like a bird actually like the place and eat a fair bit. The soup base was excellent and their exhaust system worked very well. Overall, it was one of the better places I been to where the customer cook their own food. \'ai mangé à ce restaurant pour ma première fois aujourd\'hui avec une cinquante de collègues. La nourriture n\'était pas fameuse, le saumon était pas appétissant du tout, ma collègue a choisi du poulet et c\'était sans plus. Ensuite nous devions partir et la serveuse a refusé de nous donner nos factures en protestant qu\'il fallait attendre que tout le monde aient reçu leurs factures pour pouvoir payer. Je n\'ai jamais entendu ca auparavant. Je ne recommande ce restaurant à personne. La qualité de la nourriture ne vaut pas le prix payé ni le service.
